NCAA Guide for College Athletes
The NCAA Guide answers important questions regarding the four groups of people involved with the initial-eligibility process:
– High School students who hope to compete in college sports at a Division I or Division II college.
– Parents, guardians and family members of high school students
– High school counselors and athletic administrators
– High school and non-scholastic coaches- NCAA Division I Academic Requirements and Worksheet

Important Course Information for NCAA
CTAE Courses that Count for Science and Embedded Courses
Potential NCAA athletes must meet core course requirements that are listed under each district high school’s list of approved courses on the NCAA site. Science courses that come from the CTAE credit type to meet graduation requirements and/or Embedded Courses awarded elective credit do not meet the core Science requirement for NCAA eligibility. Please make an appointment with the high school counselor should you have questions or there is a need beyond the CTAE science course to take a 5th science course to meet NCAA eligibility requirements.
Online Courses
Talk with the school counselor regarding online courses and make certain that those courses are using an NCAA approved resource plus the course number coding on the Infinite Campus official transcript is correct.
