  • Overview

The mission of the PCSD School Nurse Program is to enhance and support the educational experience by promoting and safeguarding the health and well-being of every student. Our goal is to ensure that all students have access to quality healthcare services, which in turn fosters a healthier learning environment.

Each PCSD school is equipped with a dedicated health professional, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), or certified medical professionals, who are available to serve as both health advocates and resources for students. These professionals are responsible for administering medications, providing immediate care for minor injuries and illnesses, and acting as a liaison between the school, families, and healthcare providers.

We are committed to addressing the individual health needs of students to ensure they can participate fully in their academic activities. If you have any questions, concerns, or specific health-related needs for your child, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school nurse or health specialist at your child’s school. We are here to support the health and success of your child throughout their educational journey.
