Due to continued monitoring of COVID-19 cases in our school community, the school district has transitioned the schools listed below to a hybrid schedule. This new schedule alternates students between in-person and virtual instruction depending on the day of the week, and reduces the number of students in the school building at any given time by 50 percent which reduces crowding in hallways, classrooms, gymnasiums, etc. Click on the school names below to view the letters sent to each school community.

The school district has created a Paulding Virtual Academy Waiting List application for families who may have missed the July 13 deadline to enroll their student in one of the Paulding Virtual Academies. Parents may use this application to add their student's name to a waiting list, and, if staffing and resources become available, students will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Here are key changes:
- Embeds Department of Public Health's (DPH) Return to School guidance (issued on June 13th) within one restart document - and - aligns DPH guidance directly with the three cetegories of Georgia's restart framework.
- Clarifies that face coverings are strongly encouraged, but not state mandated - specifically evaluate their use where social distancing is a challenge (i.e., class transitions, drop-offs/pick-ups)
- Equips districts and schools to mount a targeted response based on confirmed COVID-19 cases or exposures within a school community.
- Includes a new district decision tree that combines the public health response with educational decision-making.
