• AP Exam Information for Homeschool Students

    Dear Homeschool Parents and Students,

    Please review the general directions below regarding AP exams for all Paulding County Schools. 

    The 2026 AP Exams will be administered May 4–15, 2026.

    AP exams offered vary based on the school to which your student is districted. 
    For more details, please contact your school’s Advanced Placement (AP) Coordinator. Updates will also be posted on each school’s website.

    Steps to Register a Homeschool Student for AP Exams:
    1. Complete the online registration form posted on your school’s website. Please reach out to the AP Coordinator if you need help locating the form.
    2. Provide two proofs of residency. Acceptable documents can be found here: https://www.paulding.k12.ga.us/Page/47300
    3. School verification: The school will verify that you have a current Home School Declaration of Intent (DOI) on file with the state.
       • Once your residency and DOI are verified, you will receive a link to make payment and instructions for enrolling in AP Classroom.
       • You must be enrolled in AP Classroom for an exam to be ordered. Even if you pay the registration fee, an exam cannot be ordered unless you are enrolled in AP Classroom.
    4. Deadline: The online registration form and payment must be completed by February 1, 2026.

    Additional Requirements:
    • If your student requires accommodations, you must apply and submit documentation to the College Board by January 16, 2026. More information: https://accommodations.collegeboard.org/request-accommodations/request/without-the-school
    • If you need financial assistance, please complete the online application here: https://www.nlappscloud.com/Welcome.aspx?api=5e2c9f030eed71d6a237cb2b8dee25c8• Your student must bring a photo ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.) or a notarized picture identification form on the day of each test.
    • Your student should bring a laptop and a charger for testing. Bluebook should be downloaded before arriving: https://bluebook.app.collegeboard.org/
    • Students should arrive one hour prior to the exam to check in at the front office, obtain Wi-Fi information, and connect to the school’s network. The College Board enforces firm start times for all AP exams.
    • Students must have transportation to and from the school on the day of each exam.

    Costs and Fees:
    • Each AP exam costs $105.00.
    • Students approved for financial assistance:
      - First AP exam (any subject): Free
      - Additional AP exams: $53.00 each
    • The first STEM exam is free for all students, regardless of financial assistance. (Math, Computer Science, and Science AP exams qualify as STEM exams.)
    • Payment deadline: February 1, 2026.
