Articulated Credit Opportunities Through CTAE Pathways
What Is Articulated Credit?
Articulated credit is a valuable opportunity for high school students enrolled in Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) pathways to earn college credit for the work they’re already doing in high school. These credits are awarded when a student successfully completes specific high school courses that align with college-level coursework at participating post-secondary institutions.
In short: students can get a head start in college without leaving high school.
How Does It Work?
When a student completes a CTAE pathway and meets certain criteria (such as earning a minimum grade or passing an end-of-pathway assessment), they may be eligible to receive articulated credit at a partnering college or technical school. These credits are not automatically applied, students must follow the proper steps to have them recognized.
Articulated agreements may be different pathway to pathway so it’s important to check with your school counselor or CTAE teacher for specific details.
