	Charter School Petitions Charter School Petition Deadlines Letter of Intent Deadline: July 1, 2025 
 Petition Deadline: on or before January 1, 2026
 School Board Decision: on or before June 30, 2026
 Pre-opening period: 12-18 months, opening August 2027Applicants wishing to establish a local charter school must follow the state charter school petition process. Complete petitions must be submitted in person, by confirmed appointment, to the superintendent’s designee. The PCSD charter school committee will review and evaluate petitions, and the Superintendent will make a recommendation to the Board. The Board of Education will approve or deny charter petitions on or before June 30.
