Accountability OverviewCCRPIThe Paulding County School District is held accountable by the Georgia Department of Education through the College and Career Ready Performance Index - CCRPI. CCRPI is the annual tool used to measure how well our schools, district and state are preparing students for the next educational level. It provides a comprehensive roadmap to help educators, parents, and community members promote and improve college and career readiness for all students. The CCRPI includes five main components each scored on a scale of 0 to 100: Achievement, Progress, Closing Gaps, Readiness and Graduation Rate (high school only). These components, encompassing multiple indicators, are combined for a total CCRPI score on a scale of 0 to 100. The CCRPI also reports other information, such as the performance of student subgroups, school climate, and financial efficiency status. The CCRPI calculations were updated for 2018 as part of Georgia's state plan for the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). 2018 scores are not comparable to prior years.
SWSS ContractThe Paulding County School District maintains a high level of accountability for the District and for each individual school. Through the Strategic Waivers School Systems (SWSS) contract, each school will be held accountable for increased student achievement as measured by the College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI). The SWSS contract became effective July 1, 2015, and will remain in effect through the 2022/2023 school year.
As part of the SWSS partnership, our school district will work with the Georgia Department of Education and the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement to develop and implement a strategic plan that will include flexibility from specific education laws, provide the accountability goals required for each school in exchange for the flexibility, and describe the consequences imposed by the State Board of Education for schools that do not reach their accountability goals. Each school will determine the most effective way the flexibility provided by the waivers may be used to meet the needs of their students.
The College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI) is the accountability tool the state will use to measure progress towards meeting our SWSS accountability goals. CCRPI scores from the 2015-2016 school year were initially used as baseline data. However, due to significant changes in CCRPI calculations, the 2017-2018 CCRPI scores are now used for the baseline data. Each school in our district will be required to increase their CCRPI score annually to meet accountability targets.Click here for information on Strategic Waivers
