Our Teachers
-
The Paulding County School District is home to diverse teaching of almost 1,900 certified educators with 68% of them currently hold advanced degrees.
Paulding County welcomed over 200 new educators to the District in 2018. We offer our new teachers support through our New Teacher Induction (NTI) and Mentor programs. Our NTI program offers new teachers an opportunity to meet several times during the school year. These sessions are designed to offer support and growth in areas of interest to new teachers. Session topics such as Math Work Shop and Planning and Using Data to Drive Instruction allow our new teachers to learn from other Paulding teachers who excel in their profession each day be implementing strategies in their classrooms to engage students and promote the learning process.
We provide a mentor teacher for new teachers during their first years. Mentor teachers are selected to partner with new teachers to collaborate throughout the year. The mentor teacher serves as a support for the new teacher while learning about their new school as well as a resource that can provide instructional support.
We are proud to recognize outstanding teachers at our annual Teacher of the Year (TOTY) celebration.
Teacher & Employees of the Year
The Paulding Education Foundation and the Paulding County School District would like to congratulate all the nominees for the employee of the year and the teacher of the year.
Special thanks to the Teacher of the Year sponsors, like the Presenting Sponsor Members First Credit Union and the top tier sponsors like (High school level through Elementary level). We could not have pulled this event off without our very dedicated committee of volunteers and Paulding Education Foundation Board of Trustees.
