• I'm Coach Tom Sharpe and welcome to my class! This is my 9th year of teaching at East and 14th year of teaching overall. In addition to teaching AP Human Geography, Honors U.S. History, and U.S. History, I am also a volleyball coach here at East. My wife, Courtney Sharpe, is a teacher at Burnt Hickory Elementary and is in her 14th year of teaching as well. We live in Paulding with our six-year-old son, Thomas and three-year-old son, Liam.

     

    Here's a little more about myself:

     

    I am from Dublin, GA and graduated from West Laurens High School in 2001. While in high school I played football and wrestled where I was Area (Region) champ my senior year in the 152 lbs weight class. I graduated from Middle Georgia College with an Associates degree in History in 2003, graduated from UGA with a Bachelor's degree in History and a minor in Geography in 2006, graduated again from UGA with a Masters in Social Studies Education in 2008, and graduated from Valdosta State University with an Ed.S. in Instructional Technology in 2012.  

     

    I am a huge Georgia fan (being a UGA alum), Braves fan, Hawks fan, and Falcons fan. Win, loose, or draw, I will always be a fan. I also feel the same way about our school, which has my unwavering support.

     

    I look forward to our time together during the course of this school year!
