Coach Black graduated from Colonial Hills Christian School in East Point, GA where he lettered in basketball, baseball, and football and also began his teaching/coaching career. Coach Black attended Clayton State University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master’s Degree from University of West GA. He also received his Specialist from Lincoln Memorial University. At Colonial Hills he was an assistant coach for four years in which time participated in two state championship football teams. The following three years as a head football coach, head varsity girls basketball coach that also participated in 2 state championship runners up, and head track coach. Coach Black taught elementary Physical Education, high school history and Bible classes. Coach Black then joined the Douglas County High School football staff in 2002. He was defensive coordinator for five years, offensive coordinator for one season and assistant head coach for 5 years. At Douglas County he taught Business Education, Physical Education, Online Learning and was the ISS coordinator as well. In 2012 he was hired to be a physical education teacher and also the defensive coordinator/assistant head football coach at Paulding County High School. After 5 years at Paulding County, Coach Black was hired at East Paulding High School to be an assistant football coach, head girl's basketball coach, and to teach Physical Education. He and his wife Dreama have a son, Ted (graduated from East Paulding) and two daughters, Kimberlyn (Junior at East Paulding) and Annaliese (5th grader).
