It is time to nominate candidates for ...

Teacher of the Year & New Teacher of the Year

• Nominations may be made by parents, students, teachers, and administrators.
• Teachers must have a minimum of 3 years' service to the District. The New Teacher of the Year must be in his or her 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of teaching.  (We're using the same form this year, so you can vote twice ... once for TOTY and once for NTOTY.)
• The teacher should be a certified teacher with a clear and renewable certificate.
• Media Specialists and JROTC Instructors are eligible to participate; however, counselors are not eligible.
• The teacher should not be one that will be retiring the following year.
• The Teacher of the Year should be an exceptional, dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled teacher; inspires students; has respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues; plays an active role in the community as well as in the school; is poised and articulate and possesses the energy to withstand a taxing schedule.
• The Teacher of the Year will be chosen based on the content of the letter(s) of recommendation (not the number of recommendations received).
• Nominations must be received no later than Friday, February 28, 2025.
