I attended Mercer University and the Tift College of Education. I graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with concentrations in Language Arts and Social Science. In October 2008, I received a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Technology.
I was born in 1967, and grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I moved to Douglasville, Georgia in 1996 and met my husband, Scotty, soon after. We married in 1997 and have two children: Katie, 22 years old and Peyton, 16 years old. We also have four family pets, a Doberman named Sophie, a Russian Blue cat named Jenks, a Snowshoe cat named Stella, and a turtle named P.C.
