• Hi, I am Mrs. Strickland! I have been teaching Spanish since 2002. I started teaching Spanish at SPHS in 2009. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at the University of Georgia. However, my husband is a big LSU fan. I told him a long time ago, if he married me, I would convert to an LSU fan. So, I am still torn about who to cheer for 😉  I  studied abroad in Mexico at La Universidad de Cuernavaca during my undergraduate degree. I also have a Master of Education in Spanish from the University of West Georgia and my Specialist's in Teaching and Learning in Spanish from Georgia State University. I am currently working on my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction.  At SPHS, I teach Honors Spanish 2, , 3, 4, and AP Spanish. At home my husband and I have a son and daughter. I look forward to working with your student this year!

Please check out my canvas page for your student to find the syllabus, information about class, and important dates for assessments. This is the link where parents and students can sign in to their student's Canvas: https://paulding.instructure.com/login/canvas

Also, all Spanish classes work on VHL (the online work that students are required to do) and the link is https://www.vhlcentral.com   Your student can show you their information so you can see what students are required to do weekly/nightly.
