I am from a little town in Southeast Missouri called Caruthersville. It is a very rural area and my father was a farmer. I played sports in High School and still love college sports to this day. I attended the University of Mississippi after High School and have a Bachelors of Secondary Education and a Masters of Business Administration from Ole Miss. I also have a Specialist in Educaitonal Leadership from Central Michigan University.
I am married and have two step children (twins) who will be 30 this year. My son is 25 and is also a teacher in Forsyth County Georgia. I am looking forward to becoming a grandparent for the 1st time in October. My wife and I enjoy traveling around the country and seeing new places.
I have been teaching for over 20 years and this is my 5th year to teach Social Studies at Austin Middle School. Overall I have taught 7th grade Social Studies for 15 years. I love teaching and am looking forward to this school year even though it will be very different from previous years.
