     About Us

Two years ago our administration placed us together in the same classroom, and now we have nicknamed ourselves "bacon and eggs." We work hard to support all of our students. We believe that every student deserves a safe place to learn and that all students are capable of growth. With this mindset, we provide an atmosphere that is impossible not to succeed. We work not only to provide effective face to face instruction but also offer an extremely easy to follow virtual instruction if needed. We are excited to be working with each and every one of you this year, and we can't wait to get to know you better.

On a more personal note, I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2015 with my degree in Middle Grades ELA and Social Studies. Soon after, I married my wife, Emily, in the October of the same year. Not too long after, we had our first child, Elias in March of 2017, and our second was born on New Year's Day, 2019. I live for my kiddos and love them dearly, but I am so glad to be back in the classroom and teaching.

Ms. Bristol is also married and has two kiddos. Her dauther, Emma, is entering second grade, and her son, Micheal, is entering first grade. Ms. Bristol is also our cook extraordinar! Assuming that we would be allowed to bring in treats this year, she loves to celebrate success with food. She believes that lasting connections among people happen through the conversations that occur when eating. Simply think about why you might enjoy eating a meal in the lunch room; it most likely has as much to do with the conversation with your firends as it does with the food itself! Even if she can't bring in her delicious treats, she is always posting delicious recipes she has tried herselfon our weekly blog that you could also read and try.

We also live for coffee. If you really want to get on my good side, coffee, of an variety, is always a welcome sight to us both.

    Canvas Page

As Ms. Bristol likes to comment, "Our canvas page is off the chain." Our class blog and description of assignments is updated daily, and our remind is connected to the homepage as well. Hopefully, after last school year we are all somewhat familiar with Canvas or something like it. We will hold assignments in Canvas as well as conferences and announcements. You can even email us through the canvas platform which is quite helpful for us to organize. To login into your canvas page BE SURE YOU GO THROUGH THE PAULDING WEBSITE and use the SAME username and password you use to login into a school computer.
