2022-23 Teacher of the Year Nomination Form
Do you know of a teacher that makes learning fun? Do you know of a teacher that is kind and compassionate towards you and other students, or maybe one that inspires you? If you do, it is that time of the year to help that teacher shine by nominating them for the 2022-2023 Paulding County High School Teacher of the Year! WEEK of February 6, 2023
We are very excited to be celebrating our wonderful counselors this week during National Counselor's Week! Please take a moment to thank our counselors for all their hardwork and dedication in ensuring that our students at PCHS are heard, understood, celebrated and focused on the future! Thank you, Mrs. Akomolede, Mrs. Leatherwood, Mr. Meunier, Mrs. Williams, and Mr. Wilkinson for everything that you do! We love you!
We are proud and excited to announce that our Patriot Wrestling Team are 2023 Region Runner-Ups!! We had 12 qualifiers (Ethan Schwartz 4th, Avery May 4th, Sean Riley 4th, Sidney Brown 3rd and Michael Hewett 4th) to advance to wrestle in the Sectional Tournament this coming weekend. We have 5 Region Runner-Ups (Hunter Rabun, Mason Fleming, Austin Bailey, Nathan Herring, and Adam Hamada) and we have 2 Region Champions (Maddox Sisk and Jamil Ramsey). In addition, we have Chezney Brady...3x Region Champion! Please congratulate your 2023 Region Runner Ups and wish them all the best this weekend as we wrestle at Lanier and Upson Lee High School.
We want to congratulate our JV and Varsity Girls' soccer teams for their wins against Pebblebrook on Friday night. JV won 5-2. Mackenzie Rabun scored three goals and Riley Linde and Sophia Wesselmann each added a goal. Varsity won 4-2. Laila Christopher scored two goals on two great free kicks. Seemal Chaudhary and Camryn Fremstad each scored a goal as well. Great work ladies!!
If you have completed an Agriculture pathway you are eligible to purchase your pathway cords. This can be done on revtrak. These are due February 13.
Attention Seniors! Have you completed three or more years of the SAME world language? If so, you are eligible to purchase an end of pathway cord to wear at graduation. Please register and pay online via RevTrak by Friday, February 17. Cords are $8.50. See Ms. Madden in Room 221 if you have any questions!
If you are a senior and have completed the Law and Public Safety Pathway you can now order your cords on Revtrak. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Howell in room 234
The Black Student Union is selling Candy Grams starting today through Friday, February 10th prior to the start of school each day in the main hall. Support the Black Student Union and make someone’s day – buy a Candy Gram! Also, the week of February 13th will be Black History Heritage Week.

School Choice (HB251 / SB10) Apply 2/6-2/17
State law provides two options for parents to request to transfer their child to another public school in the Paulding County School District for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. Those windows will open on Feb. 6th and run through Feb. 17th.
