    PENNIES FOR Paulding 2020

    Get ready Paulding County staff and students. It's almost time for Pennies for Paulding 2020. Start saving up those coins to donate for an amazing cause. Each year Pennies for Paulding helps thousands of our students across the district receive Christmas gifts. Rules to contribute are coming soon

    as we have to consider how we will handle money during this unprecedented time.

    Pennies for Paulding dates will be October 26-November 6.


    Girls Basketball

    Lady Patriots Basketball tryouts Oct 26-27 at 6-8 pm must have physical. Any questions see Coach Wilkins in room 107.


    Senior Dues

    Seniors dues can now be paid on-line using Revtrack. Dues are $65 now through November 2nd.


    AP EXAM

    The Window for AP Exam registration for students taking AP classes in the Fall 2020 Semester is now open. You must log in to Total Registration to register for the exam. The deadline for registering is November 2. Please keep in mind that if you register late, the College Board will charge a $40 late fee. Please see Dr. Davis if you have any questions. 


    PROBE FAIR

    The PROBE Fair will be offered virtually November 2nd, 4th and 5th. By signing up for one of the virtual sessions you will be able listen to panels and presentations from different college representatives. Registration for the Virtual PROBE Fair is now open. Students can sign up at http://gaprobe.org/students and parents at http://gaprobe.org/parents. 


    FREE BREAKFAST & LUNCH

    Did you know that All students receive breakfast and lunch for free now. It includes the made to order line as well.

    Hope to see you in the cafeteria or at the breakfast cart. This runs through December 17.


    INTERESTED IN BASKETBALL CHEERLEADING?

    Basketball Cheerleading Tryouts will be held Oct. 19th-23rd. You must have al RANK ONE form completed and a physical turned in prior to tryouts!

    If you have questions, please stop by room 107 before or after school.


    WIFI HOTSPOTS

    WIFI hotspots are available to students at the following churches: Mt. Olivet Missionary, Shiloh Baptist, Dallas First Methodist, Oasis and West Ridge. Additional WIFI hotspots will be added soon due to additional grant funds from the State.


    BOY'S BASKETBALL

    Anyone interested in trying out for boys basketball needs to see Coach Hammitt in room 220 either before or after school in order to get all required paperwork. Tryouts will be Oct. 26 and all paperwork must be submitted prior to tryouts. 


    GIRL'S BASKETBALL

    Girls basketball tryouts will be held Oct 26 and 27 6-8pm in the old gym. Must have a physical to tryout. Turn in to Coach Wilkins in room 107.   


     COLLEGE TOUR

    Attention Juniors and Seniors: Are you interested in applying Georgia Tech, Georgia Tech will be hosting virtual tours for high school students between October 29th. The link to apply is on the PCHS Counseling webpage.


    PSAT FOR 10TH GRADERS

    All sophomores are given the option to take the PSAT at no cost. It is not a mandatory test but it is recommended to prepare for the SAT. If you wish to take the PSAT you must complete the opt in form.

    Testing Dates:

    Students with a last name beginning with K-Z will be tested on 10/29/2020.


    Wrestling

    Are you interested in participating in wrestling this season? If you are, boys should come see Coach Schouw in room 116 or Coach Tripp in 108 and girls interested in being on the girls wrestling team should come see Coach Cato in room 103 or Coach Schouw in 116. Come be a part of two teams who have been a perennial powerhouse in the state over the last 3 years. Come join us on our world domination tour


    SkillsUSA

    Attention, pass or current Automotive, Cosmetology, Graphic Design and Public Safety students, RevTrak is open to pay your membership dues now until November 1st.

    State Student Ambassadors Program:

    Are you an engaged citizen who would like to promote voting in your community? Georgia's Secretary of State Student Ambassadors Program is starting the 2020-2021 civic engagement competition this week. If you would like to be a part of this statewide initiative, please email Mr. Goodison your name and grade level to be a part of this program.


    There will be a parent interest meeting for Girl's Soccer on Thursday, October 29th at 6pm in the PCHS Auditorium. If you plan on trying out, please plan on attending with your parent or guardian.


    NHS:

    ALL returning NHS Members from last year have a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, October 28th in room 807 starting at 3:30pm. The meeting will last 15 minutes. If you are unable to attend or have question’s please let Mr. Howell or Mrs. Szabat know by the end of today.


    Dungeons and Dragons Club:

    There will be a Dungeons and Dragons Club Interest Meeting this Thursday, at 3:30 in room 213. See Ms. Robertson for details.


    Seniors: If you have completed or will complete the Cosmetology pathway, RevTrak is open to purchase your pathway completion cord. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Slay in room 406.
