Program Overview:
The Secretary of State's Student Ambassador Program is a cost-free, leadership development program for high school students in grades 10-12 across Georgia. Through this entirely student-led program, participants gain valuable experience by engaging in Georgia civics, encouraging voter registration among their peers, and volunteering in their communities.
The goal of the program is to provide Georgia's high school students with an opportunity to engage as leaders within their schools and communities. To achieve this, participating schools will choose teams of 9 students. Once established, teams will attend the kick-off event at the beginning of the school year, where they are provided with materials and resources they need for success.
Throughout the school-year, teams will attend, organize, and carry out various activities. For each activity, they will receive points for statewide and regional competitions. At the end of the year, schools who achieve the most points will be celebrated at the Awards Ceremony.
