• Prom 2026

     

    Prom Update:

    Patriots, I wanted to provide an update on the prom status. In the spring semester, I announced that prom would be at Live in the Battery. I was in constant communication with the venue, but despite my best efforts, I was unable to secure the paperwork needed to have them become an approved vendor by the district in order to conduct business with them. As the school year approached without a resolution, I decided to move on and look for alternative venues. The venue search process is a difficult one, with venues booking up well in advance. After reaching out to numerous vendors in the metro Atlanta area, there was not one available that could accommodate our size and budget. I was recently made aware of the local Paulding Parks and Recreation facility, which was able to not only accommodate our size, but also give us a huge discount. The local venue will allow us to drop the price of the ticket, and address growing concerns from parents/guardians who expressed safety concerns about having their child travel to Atlanta. I apologize for not communicating this prior to announcing that the prom would be moved to the Parks and Recreation facility. For now, we will keep the local venue as a back-up option, and continue to pursue Live at the Battery as well as any other options that may come to my attention. If we do secure Live for prom on 3/13/26, please be advised that ticket prices will have to increase. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out via email at mgoodiosn@paulding.k12.ga.us.
