• WHO AM I?

I graduated high school knowing that I wanted to work with young people, I was just unsure of which path to take. While attending Georgia Highlands, I thought back to my high school experiences and knew that I could help students just as my teachers did. So, I applied for and thankfully received an academic scholarship to attend Shorter University's secondary education program. I decided to focus on English, since reading and writing are such an integral part of life. I hope to instill a love of reading in all students! After a year of teaching, I knew this is where God was leading me. During my 2nd year of teaching, I attended Piedmont College and earned a Master's in Secondary English Education and here I am now teaching ELA for the 13th year!

I was born and raised in Polk County and settled here in Paulding County after marrying my amazing husband! We have three beautiful daughters that are living proof that God still blesses! Our oldest is 11, in 6th grade, and loves to play volleyball, our middle girl is 7 in 2nd grade this year, and loves working on her sportsy skills, and our youngest daughter is almost 6 in 1st grade, and has began exploring sports as well! So, even when I am not on campus teaching literature, I am at home teaching life lessons. I know that everyday patience and forgiveness must be readily available in every situation. So as you enter 1214 each day, know that miracles will take place :)
