This is my 15th year teaching. This year I am teaching 6th grade Language Arts, Reading and Writing.

I love to read, especially young adult literature action, adventure. I also enjoy Science Fiction and Fantasy Adventure  I try to find books to help students fall in love with reading.   I challenge you to find a book you love to share with others!

I was raised in New Orleans and have a BS from Louisiana State University in Journalism, MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Central Michigan University, a Special Education Certification from the University of West Georgia, and an EDS in Brain Based Learning  and Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

I have a 22 year old son, Brandon, who is an Eagle Scout. Brandon currently serves on a submarine in the U.S. Navy. I also host international exchange students whom I consider my children too. I have one son from Germany, Tim, and two daughters from Venezuela, Pamela and Priscila.

As we read our way through this school year, I hope that someone will fall in love with reading!  There is too much to be missed if you can't lose yourself in a good book
