    Hi!  My name is Kim Vinson, and I am so excited to be a part of the Eighth Grade!  More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your teacher!  It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures.  I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. 
     
    I was born in Augusta, Ga and moved to Hiram when I was one.  I am a graduate of East Paulding High School  After graduation, I moved to Canton, Ga and attended college at Reinhardt University.  I majored in Middle Grades Education.  I have also received my Master's degree from Grand Canyon University and my Specialist's degree from Piedmont College.
     
     I started teaching at Dobbins Middle School in 2001.  I have taught connections Reading, seventh grade ELA and Social Studies, and 6th grade ELA and Social Studies.  This will be my first year teaching 8th grade.  I am also a sponsor of the History Club, co-captain of the Dobbins Relay for Life team, and a committee member of the Paulding County Relay for Life.
     
    I am so excited to be your teacher and to get to know you.  This is going to be a GREAT year!
