My wonderful family consists of my husband Johnny, my two sons Nolan and Aaron, and our two dogs Maddy and Luke.  I've lived in Paulding County all my life, graduating from East Paulding High School in 1999.  My mom was a paraprofessional at W.C. Abney for 30 years, and my love of teaching stemmed from her.

I started teaching in 2005 after graduating from KSU.  For the first seven years, I taught math and social studies at Moses Middle School.  After having my second child, I wanted to be at home with my two boys while they were little yet still be able to teach, and I was able to do both for five years while being an online middle school teacher at a Georgia virtual public school.  When my youngest son began school, I knew I wanted to go back to a schoolhouse as well, so we both started Northside together in 2019.

Baseball, the beach, being with my family, going to church, and beautifying our yards are some of the things I enjoy doing (other than teaching, of course!).

4th grade is a spectacular place to be - - awesome teachers and great kids!
