A celebratory start to a morning that no elementary school student can resist as Principal Karla Dodgen and Assistant Principal Jacob Griffith

hosted a PBIS Walkthrough for Paulding County School District educators.

 

McGarity Elementary infuses the best practices of Capturing Kids’ Hearts (CKH) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to build powerful learning experiences that focus on relationships, positive behaviors, and academic success for all students.   

From the moment students arrive on campus, they are met by warm smiles and a sea of greeters holding signs with positive messages.  High-energy dance music is playing in the background, creating a celebratory atmosphere that gets students motivated and excited. By the time students enter the classroom, their brains are activated to engage in learning for the day.
