8th Grade Math Teacher

Welcome to my math class.  This is only my 2nd year here at Scoggins but this feels like home to me.  I am excited to be your teacher this school year and I hope you enjoy all the different things we will be doing in class! 

 

  • Who is Mrs. Grier

    I am married to Anthony Grier, I have three children: one son (Tim) and twin daughters (Toni & Tiara) I also two grandsons (Jordan & Jaxson).   I LOVE Math and I love teaching math.  I feel that every child can learn, you just have to figure out how they learn best.  During my free time, I read, do home improvements and work in the yard.  I am also a real estate associate broker!

    The only dumb question is the one you do not ask!!

  • I love to have an open line of communication with my students and parents so please sign up for REMIND.  I send out notifications when homework is given and when it's due as well as other pertinent information about my class through REMIND.  I can be contacted through both Remind and Canvas as well as through e-mail.

  • Canvas will be our primary tool for classroom resources, online assignments, and communication. You can download the app or find a link on the PCSD website. Parents can sign up for an “observer” account so they can follow along with their student’s classes and assignments. Parents can also sign up for Parent Portal so they can monitor grades!

    Tutoring:  Tuesdays at 8:00 AM - Please let me know the day before if you are planning to attend.

    Please note that Infinite Campus is Paulding County School District's official grade book.  Grades in Canvas may not reflect the actual grade for a course.  Check your Parent Portal Account for up to date course grades.
