6th Grade Social Studies Teacher

     2020-2021 will be my 24th year teaching middle school.  I've taught Language Arts and Social Studies most of those years.  I began my career in McIntosh County, then moved to Douglas County, where I taught for 5 years.  In Paulding County, I taught at Herschel Jones for 7 years and have been at Scoggins Middle School since it first opened.  I completed my bachelor's degree at Mercer University and my master's and specialist at Piedmont College.  I am also certified in reading and gifted.

     This year I am looking forward to teaching 6th grade social studies and System 44 reading.  I've also coached the Academic Team for many years. 

     While school has changed since last Spring, I am looking forward to this school year.  We are ready to adapt to the changing technologies in education.  We will work together to have a successful and great year!
