Hello, I have been teaching for 20 years in middle school. Most of that time has been teaching 6th grade science and math. Each year has its own challenges and triumphs. This year will be no different. I work with a great group of teachers in our 6th grade. We will be implementing many new procedures to address many of the concerns starting this year. Some procedures may change afterwards because there may be a better way. I hope parents and students will be flexible as we start this 2020 - 2021 school year. I will use Remind 101 to send out short messages about math or school related messages. A copy with all teachers' remind 101 will be sent home (including instructions)and mine is included below. You will also be able to text a message back and it will go to my email. DO CHECK that your child can log into canvas on the paulding county website. Parent Portal can be utilized to check on grades and missing assignments.  

     A little about me, I have several hobbies. During the summer and breaks, I can be found on a tractor baling hay, spraying fields for weeds, checking on fences, and such. I enjoy working a small farm with a few cows and baling hay for myself and locals around me. I also like to jetski and ride motorcycles, but it seems I have less and less time for those as I get older. I need to work on that. I like to always have a project going. "I have nothing to do" is not something you will hear from me. There is always something that needs to be done around the house, barn, farm, or school but it just isn't always what I want to do, but it has to be done and that makes on less thing to worry about.
