Principal's Message

It is a privilege and an honor to serve as the principal for the students, staff, and parents of South Paulding Middle School.  We are very excited about the school year.  At SPMS, we strive to provide a welcoming atmosphere for all of our stakeholders.  We are proud of our faculty and student body, and together we work to maintain and foster a school culture that is safe and supportive.

We strive for student success inside and outside the classroom.  We continually focus on academic excellence, respect, and responsibility.  We are structured, orderly, and consistent to ensure that the business of learning takes place, but we never forget to have fun and celebrate our achievements.

At South Paulding Middle School, we understand the importance of communication as a vital component to student success.  Helen Keller once said “Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much.”  This quote is so true when it comes to educating children, and that is why we seek to build positive relationships with students and their families.  If you ever have a question or concern about your child, please do not hesitate to call or email the teacher or the front office staff.

As a school, we value engaging relationships with our parents and community.  We encourage you to become an active member of our school community and join the PTSA.   South Paulding Middle School also offers a variety of extracurricular clubs and partners with the South Paulding High School and Paulding County High School feeder programs for athletics.  These extracurricular opportunities contribute to positive relationships between students, staff, parents, and the community.  Please feel free to reach out to us to get more information about getting involved.

Again, welcome to South Paulding Middle School!  We are deeply honored to have the privilege of working with your child, and we hope to see you soon.

Respectfully,

James Neal

Principal
