    Hello,

    This week (10/19-10/23) is Parent Teacher Conference Week. The students will be dismissed one hour earlier (2:35) from school.

    We will be visiting the Media Center this week to check out books and to visit the Book Fair.

    We are continuing to read in The GIver. We will be reading Chapters #17-20 and having Reading Check quizzes.

    The skills we will be reviewing are setting/theme/plot.

    Hello!

     

    This week during class, we will be continuing to read The Giver.

    We will read through to chapter 10 together in class. There will also be a reading check quiz and a community job activity competed together in class.

    Hello,

    This week in 4th period ELA (Small group) we will be drafting/revising/editing the narrative essay.

    We will also be reviewing figurative language and adding into the essays.

    The students will continue to be exposed to reading comprehension activities during the warm up portion of class.

    Please make sure your child is reading every night for at a minimum of 30 minutes.
