Stakeholder Group Hears About New Middle School

PCSD held a Stakeholders Advisory Meeting on Nov. 10, 2022 at McClure Middle School to inform parent and school leaders about the ongoing project to construct a new middle school. The new middle school will open in the fall of 2024 and is being constructed on property off Seven Hills Connector. As an additional middle school for the community, the new facility will provide capacity relief for McClure Middle School. Superintendent Steve Barnette welcomed the invited stakeholders from Russom Elementary School, Shelton Elementary School, and McClure Middle School. Dr. Jason Gregaydis, PCSD Chief of Staff, shared information about enrollment growth and the need for a new middle school, while Dr. Susan Browning, Associate Superintendent, and Doug Carey, the district’s new Executive Director of Facilities, presented information about the design of the new school, traffic and safety considerations, and the construction timeline. Stakeholders were receptive to the information presented and pledged to help share facts about the ongoing project on social media and in their respective communities. More information about the new middle school can be found here: https://www.paulding.k12.ga.us/Page/46616
