Welcome to Allgood!

We are one of the largest elementary schools in Paulding County, Georgia with approximately 800 students. Our staff of 100+ educators, caregivers, therapists, custodians, front office and cafeteria members are highly trained individuals who serve students and families within the community with an open heart and compassion. We share a common goal of student success and work tirelessly to ensure that our children receive a whole-child education today that will result in their growth into the adults of tomorrow.

At Allgood, we don’t use worksheets, flip page by page through a textbook, or work in independent silos to demonstrate how well we can memorize information.  We employ instructional strategies that show our ability to work in partners and collaborative teams.  We take skills and information and learn to apply them in a generalized fashion across disciplines.  We learn to grow and grow to learn – this is not school as you knew it as a child, because your child will not be ready for the future doing things the way we did them in the past.

Because times have changed and are constantly changing, education must change, and educators are constantly adjusting our strategies and increasing our knowledge of the best practices to prepare for 21st Century careers and expectations. Gone are the days of factory and cubicle work. Now, jobs are gained by those who are collaborative, innovative, and open-minded. So, we are not just teaching students to read and write, we are teaching them to be good citizens and viable candidates for our job force.

As principal, I am facilitating academic and social/emotional growth for each and every student that we serve. Ensuring growth and achievement levels are met is our primary function, but it is not our only goal. Allgood Gators may be children today, but in a blink of an eye, they will be the future adults of our community and active members of a global society where jobs performed in Atlanta will have an impact on services and goods provided internationally. We may reside on Hart Road, but our influence will be felt across an expansive community.
