Jennifer Roberts is the Mechatronics Instructor and Electrical Technician Chattahoochee Technical College DE Instructor at Paulding County College & Career Academy. Next year will be her 23rd year as an educator. She began her career as an Operations Engineer with Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems Company working primarily in the areas of sheet metal and wiring in Quality Engineering and Methods of Work Measurement. She transitioned to a career in education as an Applied Manufacturing Technology Instructor for Chattahoochee Technical College in a joint program with Shaw Industries. She has spent the last sixteen years in K12 education beginning her career in middle school mathematics at Rome City Schools. She also taught in Floyd County and Calhoun City Schools in the following areas: Algebra 1, Foundations of Algebra, Advanced Mathematical Decision-Making, and STEM education in Manufacturing and Engineering.
She is a graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology and a Master of Science in Management of Technology. She received her Education Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Curriculum and Instruction.
She has been married to Todd Roberts (a Calhoun native) for over thirty years. He runs the business they own in Cartersville, GA. Together, they have two children. The oldest, Zachary, is 27 and a graduate of Oglethorpe University and UGA. Their daughter, Sydney, is 24 also a graduate of Oglethorpe University. She is currently working on her MBA in Entertainment at Carnegie Melon University. Mrs. Roberts loves to travel, read, hike, and kayak in her spare time.
