    Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to the 2020/2021 School Year at P.B. Ritch Middle School!

This year we are changing the way we learn to accomodate everyone.  We will have students who will be learning in class and students who will be learning online with the assistance of teachers.  The students online will be using Plato and the students in the classroom will be using Canvas.  Please come back to this page as I will be adding update as we move through the year.

    How to Access Canvas:

To access Canvas students should log on to Canvas using the same log in they do to access computers at school. Once logged on, click on ________________________________________ Then click on Modules to the left. This will take you to the link for Digital Learning Days.

    • Students: Click HERE for more detailed information/videos to access Canvas

     Parent Access to Canvas:

Parents are strongly encouraged to obtain an Observer Account for Canvas.  Parents need an observer account in order to view their child's activity.  This account allows a parent to view a child’s dashboard, view but not submit assignments, and communicate with the teacher.

    • Parents: Click HERE for detailed instructions on Observer Accounts and other parent information about Digital Learning Days

     Communication:

If students have questions about the assignment(s), they should use the Canvas "Inbox" located on the toolbar to the left -- OR -- post a question using Chat (under modules) for everyone to benefit from.  I will continue monitoring Remind and will reply as quickly as possible to any messages there as well.
