Baggett Elementary is named after Bessie L. Baggett, a former educator in Paulding County.  She taught at the Oak Hill School which was located in the New Hope Community and raised her family on the property where Baggett Elementary is now located.  Mrs. Baggett's family has a long tradition in education, as Dobbins Middle School is named after her family as well. The school population is projected to be about 700 students in Kindergarten - 5th grade. The school offers numerous opportunities for students and parents to be involved.
