Greetings McGarity Mustang Families,
My name is Jacob Griffith and I am excited to be with your children again this year at McGarity. It has been a pleasure working with this wonderful staff and community and seeing all the smiling faces at McGarity Elementary. This district holds a special place in my heart and I have worked the majority of my career in the Paulding County School District. Before coming to McGarity, I began my career teaching for 14 years as a middle school teacher at Teasley Middle School (Cherokee County), Austin Middle School and Scoggins Middle School. As an administrator, I first worked as an Evaluation and Assessment Coordinator at Hal Hutchens Elementary before coming to McGarity in the fall of 2020.
My family not only works in Paulding, but we also live and worship in the community as well. My wife, Jamie is a Teacher at Union Elementary School and my children attend school there as well. My wife and I both believe that our purpose in the community goes beyond our own household and extends to the role we play in our students’ lives. As stakeholders in the community, we must work together to identify the needs of our students and provide them with the best educational opportunities in the most supportive environment possible. At McGarity, we focus not only on academics, but on the social emotional needs of students as well. I am excited about the opportunity to work with your children at McGarity and help them to become Mustang Strong!
Have a great Mustang Day!
