PCHS will be holding a College and Career Fair for juniors and seniors in the New Gym on March 1st from 9 am to 1 pm.

The Class of 2021 parent night is scheduled for March 27, 2015 @ 5:30 -7:30pm in the Craton Gymnasium.
This event is an opportunity for incoming Freshmen students and their parents to get a glimpse of what THE Paulding County High School has to offer.

The Georgia Parent Survey is also modeled after the student survey and contains 24 questions. Parents may complete the survey using their personal computer, smartphones or tablet.  For parents that do not have access to the Internet, school administrators should consider scheduling dates and times to allow parents to complete the Georgia Parent Survey at school.  All parents should be encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey because the data will be used as part of the calculation of the School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis.  Results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online.  The URL address for the Georgia Parent Survey is posted below.

School Announcements

  • Daily Announcements - Thursday 2/16/17

Student and teachers: In recognition of Black History Month, we would like to share daily celebrations of past and current African Americans who were influential in American History.

Are you aware of the three school in Paulding County named after African American teachers?

    • Matthew Learning Center was named after the school’s first female superintendent Irma F. Matthews which is where black students attended before desegregation. This building is now the Paulding County Schools Maintenance Dept. & Testing Center located behind the Paulding Boys and Girls Club.
    • Moses Middle School was named after Ms. Lena Moses who was the first African American from Paulding to graduate from college which was Atlanta University and New York University. She retired after teaching for 43 years at four schools and one of those schools was Hershel Jones Middle School.
    • McClure Middle School was named after Sammy McClure Sr., who was valedictorian at Matthews Consolidated School in 1965. He served as principal at Paulding County Jr. High which was renamed to Herschel Jones Middle School.
