We are so thankful for the Paulding Education Foundation for putting together another spectacular Teacher/Employee of the Year Breakfast Award Banquet! The 2026 Class of TOTYs and EOTYs were celebrated at GreyStone Power with gifts from our amazing Partners in Education, a delicious plated breakfast, and a special message from 2026 Georgia Teacher of the Year Rachel Kinsaul — all before receiving their well-deserved awards.

BOE Honors Former Board Member

At its March 24, 2026 regular meeting, the Paulding County Board of Education recognized former Board Member Kim Curl, who passed away on March 13, with a resolution. Click here to read.

Star Staff Award Recipients

Paulding County School District celebrates the 2025–2026 Star Staff winners, honoring eight exceptional educators and staff members recognized for excellence in leadership, innovation, service, and commitment to students. Sponsored by the Paulding Education Foundation, this annual recognition highlights the individuals who make a meaningful impact across our schools.

Math-Literacy & Signature Honors

State Superintendent Richard Woods visited Paulding County on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, to present 24 PCSD schools with awards for excellence in Math & Literacy, as well as John Hancock Student Signature awards for excellence in cursive handwriting. Here are some photos from the event:

Understanding the PCSD Budget and What it Means to You

Each year, the Paulding County Board of Education approves a budget to fund the operation of 34 schools and provide an outstanding education for 32,000 students. It is important that taxpayers understand how the budget is developed, what makes Paulding County's budget unique, and the value that taxpayers receive.

 "Respect the Stop" Bus Safety Video

The Paulding County School District wants to be sure all citizens are aware that attempting to board a school bus, blocking a school bus with a vehicle, or any other actions which may distract a bus driver or disrupt the safe transport of students, are illegal and carry serious consequences. The video linked below provides an overview of how you can "Respect the Stop." Please follow the law and work with us to ensure our students are transported safely to and from school each day! 

PCSD Graduation Rate Hits Record High

Paulding County School District’s Class of 2025 has boosted the school district’s four-year graduation rate to a record high! The school district’s five high schools achieved an average graduation rate of 91.6 percent, according to data released by the Georgia Department of Education

New Classroom Wing at Northside ES Opens

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held July 8, 2025, for a new 20-classroom addition at Northside Elementary School. The addition includes 26,000 square feet of new classroom space to accommodate the school's growing enrollment
of more than 600 students.

New 16 Classroom Addition Opens at Roberts ES

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on July 22, 2025, to celebrate the official opening of a new classroom addition at Roberts Elementary School. This 16-classroom addition begun one year ago is now complete, bringing the school to a grand total of 59 classrooms to accommodate the growing community

The Paulding County Board of Education has approved calendars for the next four school years. At its regular meeting on Oct. 22, 2024, the school board approved calendars for the 2025-2026 through 2028-2029 school years. Click here to read the press release.
PCSD Graduation Rate Tops 90 Percent
The Paulding County School District's 2024 four-year graduation rate increased to 90.3 percent, well above the state average of 85.4 percent. Click here to read more.
