The Paulding County School District supports the use of evidence-based programs to improve the culture and climate in schools while systematically decreasing bullying behaviors.

School counselors work closely with staff to coordinate classroom guidance lessons around identified bullying prevention needs for their school.

Teachers and district staff are trained in bullying prevention each school year.

Evidence-based programs that are being implemented in PCSD to improve school climate and reduce bullying behaviors are Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports (PBIS), Capturing Kids Hearts, Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, Sources of Strength, and Restorative Practices.

For more information on bullying prevention initiatives, please contact the Prevention Intervention Office at (770) 443-8000 Ext. 10265.
