Public Review of Elementary Math Resources

PUBLIC REVIEW OF ELEMENTARY MATH MATERIALS

The Paulding County School District is considering elementary mathematics resources to be used in upcoming school years. Using feedback from elementary administrators and teacher leaders from each school, the district plan is to:

• Continue use of the state curricular standards, unit frameworks, and locally developed materials as the core instructional materials to provide all students with rigorous, relevant instruction on the grade level standards.

• Supplement the core materials (listed above) with instructional resources that can be utilized adaptively and flexibly to meet a range of student learning needs - from remediation for students who need additional support to enrichment for students who need additional challenge.

• Use the supplemental material in a range of settings and groupings including individual assignments, small group assignments, and whole class assignments as needed.

The Resource Committee will have these supplemental resources on display for public review from 4/10/2019-5/3/2019. These supplemental resources can be viewed at the Paulding Virtual Academy 4555 Dallas Acworth Highway Dallas, GA 30132, Room 112, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
