Letter from School Nurse

From School Nurse - Parents, please DO NOT SEND MEDICATIONS TO SCHOOL WITH YOUR STUDENT.  If your child will need medications while at school, please call the school nurse to discuss, or bring an unopened container of age-appropriate over-the-counter medication to front office.  The nurse will help to fill out paperwork that gives staff permission to administer medication.  For prescription medications, make sure to label with student's name on it and instructions by physician on administration.  Expect pill count with nurse for Rx meds.  Students with asthma or allergies needing inhaler or Epipen - same thing, nurse needs box with Rx label.  The other option is autho to carry inhaler/Epipen at school - Autho to Carry Inhaler/Epipen forms are available.  Please feel free to call school nurse to discuss medication administration needs at school.   Please DO NOT SEND MEDICATIONS TO SCHOOL WITH YOUR STUDENT.
