CANVAS
Canvas will be our primary tool for classroom resources, online line assignments, and communication. You can download the app or find a link on the PCSD website. Parents can sign up for an “observer” account so they can follow along with their student’s classes and assignments. You can get the observer code from your student. There is a link on their Canvas page.
CELL PHONE POLICY
Students may not be on their cellphones or have them out without teacher permission.
It is an automatic referral for any student who does not follow the cell phone policy.
LATE WORK POLICY
Classwork, homework, projects, and tests are an essential part of education used to monitor progress, evaluate student learning and/or provide students with the opportunity to practice. The SMS Late Work Policy is a school-wide initiative designed to better educate students and prepare them for the future.
CLASSWORK/HOMEWORK/SUMMATIVES
(formative 40% grade): NO classwork or homework will be accepted late.
Projects/tests (summative 60% grade): Projects may be turned in after the assigned deadline with one letter grade penalty for each day late. Projects will not be accepted after the 5th day.
ABSENCES
Any pre-assigned project, homework, or class assignment that was due on the day the student was absent is due on the day the student returns to school. Assignments assigned on the day of an absence are the student’s responsibility to make up.
PLEASE FOLLOW ALL SMS SAFETY AND HEALTH PROCEDURES!
