What an exciting opportunity to be teaching fifth grade again in the BEST school in the county. I look forward to our year together. I’ve been teaching in Paulding County for 10 years, and I’ve taught just about every elementary grade, as well as, 6th and 8th grade math. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies K-8th and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I have served on several leadership and curriculum teams for the school and county, and I’m currently enrolled in two professional learning classes: Coaching Endorsement and Gifted Endorsement. Previously, I completed my Reading Endorsement, Lucy Caulkin’s Writing and Exceptional Students Certification. Once I’ve completed these classes, I’ll begin looking for my next learning adventure! Never Stop Learning!
As for my family, my husband and I have been married for 21 years and have two wonderful children. Emma, my creative and fun-loving daughter, is a perfectionist, and Will, my energetic, charismatic, and athletic son is into every sport possible. They keep us very busy with activities: baseball, football, basketball, Pokeman Go and cheerleading. We are also active members of HOPE Church. As a family, we enjoy attending Georgia Tech football and baseball games (Go Jackets), Atlanta Braves baseball games, snow skiing and our most favorite, movies!
I understand that your child comes to me with unique experiences, interests and learning styles. My goal is to truly know your child well and use this knowledge to guide, support and motivate him or her. I believe that good teaching requires continual professional development, personal reflection and collaboration. I value parent involvement at every level and encourage you to partner with me to help your child with valuable learning experiences. I am available anytime to answer questions and concerns. My e-mail address is below. I know this will be an amazing school year! I look forward to seeing you in the halls!
