Overview

Welcome to the Paulding County School District Fine Arts Department!
Our Fine Arts programs are a vital part of the Paulding County Teaching & Learning Department and serve as a cornerstone of a well-rounded education. The arts engage creativity, inspire innovation, and prepare students to express themselves with confidence and purpose.

Through comprehensive instruction in visual arts, music, theater, and dance, our students learn to think critically, communicate effectively, and collaborate with others—skills that support academic achievement and lifelong success.

Engage. Inspire. Prepare.

A Culture of Creativity

We welcome you to explore the incredible fine arts opportunities that exist across our district. The Paulding County School District is home to talented students, dedicated teachers, and vibrant arts communities that bring learning to life every day.

Take a moment to browse our Fine Arts links and see the creativity thriving in every school:

  • Stop by one of our high schools and enjoy a musical performance or theater production.

  • Experience the excitement of Friday night lights where our outstanding marching bands bring spirit and pride to every game.

  • Visit an elementary school PTA event to see young children sing, dance, and perform for adoring audiences.

  • Walk through our school halls and media centers to view the stunning artwork proudly displayed by students of all ages.

In Paulding County, talent is not lacking—we proudly share it, display it, encourage it, and promote it in every school, every classroom, and in the life of every child.

Our Purpose

The Fine Arts Department is dedicated to ensuring that all students have equitable access to quality arts education that:

  • Engages students in creative thinking and artistic expression.

  • Inspires them to develop their unique talents and voices.

  • Prepares them for future success through discipline, collaboration, and perseverance.

Research consistently shows that participation in fine arts enhances academic performance, builds self-confidence, and fosters a sense of belonging and community. In Paulding County, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to experience these benefits as part of their K–12 journey.

Our Programs

Fine Arts programs are offered across all grade levels in the following disciplines:

  • Visual Arts – Painting, drawing, sculpture, design, and digital media.

  • Music – Band, chorus, orchestra, and general music education.

  • Theater Arts – Performance, technical theater, and stage production.

Each area provides authentic performance and exhibition opportunities, allowing students to demonstrate their learning and share their talents with the community.

Community and Collaboration

The Paulding County School District Fine Arts programs are supported by a network of teachers, parents, and community partners who share a passion for the arts. Through concerts, plays, exhibitions, competitions, and community events, our students proudly represent their schools and the district while gaining real-world experience that connects their art to a broader audience.

We encourage families and community members to attend performances, exhibitions, and showcases throughout the year and celebrate the creativity that makes Paulding County exceptional.
