At Home: Encourage Bilingual Growth
- Speak, read, and write in your home language and in English with your child.
- Discuss family and community events in both languages to build vocabulary and confidence.
- Share family stories and traditions; celebrate cultural holidays to show that all cultures have value.
- Provide a quiet place and regular time for homework; ask to see books, assignments, and test results.
- Remember—you are your child’s first teacher. Your encouragement helps them succeed every day.
