Middle School CTAE Opportunities
Paulding County School District middle school students have the opportunity to explore exciting Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) courses in Computer Science and Engineering & Technology. These hands-on, project-based courses allow students to discover their interests, strengthen problem-solving skills, and begin building the foundation for future high school pathways.
Computer Science
Students learn how technology shapes our world and gain introductory experience in computer programming, cybersecurity, and digital design.

Foundations of Secure Information Systems
Students explore information systems, networking, and cybersecurity, learning how to protect data and understand safe digital practices. -
Foundations of Computer Programming
This course introduces the logic and structure of coding while students design and test their own simple programs. -
Foundations of Interactive Design
Students develop creativity and digital design skills as they learn to build websites, animations, and interactive games.
Engineering & Technology
Students explore how technology and innovation drive progress in our communities and around the world.

Invention and Innovation
Students work both independently and collaboratively to research real-world problems and create functional inventions or prototypes using the engineering design process. -
