Three elementary schools in Paulding County have been named to the 2016-2017 list of Title I Reward Districts and Schools. Reward Schools are Title I schools that fall into two categories: Highest-Performing and High-Progress.
C.A. Roberts Elementary School was named in the “Highest Performing” category. That means Roberts Elementary is among the five percent of the state’s Title I schools with the absolute highest performance, over three years, for the “all students” group on the statewide assessments.
Lillian C. Poole Elementary and Sam D. Panter Elementary were both named in the “High-Progress” category. Both schools are among the ten percent of the state’s Title I schools making the most progress in improving the performance of the “all students” group over three years on the statewide assessments.
“Being recognized as a Title I Reward School is a huge honor,” said Paulding County School Superintendent Cliff Cole. “Every teacher in the district is working hard to change the lives of their students. The administration is focused on improving the performance of all student groups. I look forward to the continued success of these schools.”
Title I schools receive federal funding to be applied to additional services, support, and resources in support of enabling all students to achieve academic success. Paulding County has 13 Title I schools.
