Time Change: Open Lab
Description
We welcome you to join us in the UDL Lab for an Open Lab Session. What is an Open Lab Session? This is an opportunity for you to collaborate with other educators from across the district in creating a truly universal learning environment. There will be a facilitator on staff (Amanda Inman) during open lab times to assist in utilizing equipment in the room, providing guidance and answering questions. The lab offers a variety of resources including Color Copy Machine, Laminator 1.5mm, Thermal Poster Maker and Cold Laminator (this is to be used to laminate thermal posters only), Die-Cut Machine (Cutout Maker from Variquest), Bookbinding Machine, and various tools to assist in creating materials. The purpose of the lab is to develop materials that assist in the efforts to provide accessible instructional materials to students with disabilities.
Things to Remember:
- The copy machine will now require a code that is linked to your school or program to better help us in budgeting for printing. Please be mindful and use the correct code, please. A list is provided.
- Bring copy paper and card stock with you. (We have paper on site however, that is for the staff housed at the facility). This assists in the effort to be able to continue to provide this resource.
- Lamination and Printing should only be for specialized instructional items (Please no laminating bulletin board items - those should be done at your schools).
- The back side doors will remain locked so you will need to knock for someone to let you in. If you arrive before 2:00, there is no guarantee someone will be there to let you in.
- Always check the New Hope Calendar before leaving to make sure there has not been a change in schedule due to an emergency.
Look forward to seeing everyone this year :) Exciting things happen when we collaborate!!!!
